Job Description

Join our clients team as a Transport Scheduler who thrives on ensuring that deliveries are executed seamlessly, bringing joy to customers and efficiency to the operation. Play a crucial part in planning, coordinating, and optimising delivery and collection routes across multiple sites to ensure customers receive their orders on time, in full, and without error.

Job Responsibility

  • Plan and schedule all customer deliveries and collections efficiently
  • Ensure maximum vehicle utilisation and cost-effective routing
  • Monitor driver availability, vehicle capacity, and compliance with safety standards
  • Debrief drivers daily, ensuring all Proof of Deliveries (PODs) and documentation are completed accurately
  • Liaise closely with depot and warehouse teams to coordinate loading and dispatch times
  • Manage relationships with agency drivers and external hauliers
  • Respond to any transport-related issues promptly, including breakdowns or urgent customer needs
  • Maintain accurate records for vehicle defects, incidents, and maintenance schedules
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the transport department

  • Pre-Op and change out batteries on the powered industrial truck (if required)
  • Keep the truck loader continuously supplied with empty/cleared trucks to be loaded
  • Responsible for procuring and staging production supplies (i.e. rollstock and over-pouches) as indicated on the Bill of Material (BOM) and for restocking unused supplies
  • Clear or correct faults/alarms, operate and make adjustments as necessary to automated truck loading machinery and/or automated over-pouchers
  • Perform adjustments and minor maintenance on the pouch sealer, trucks and belts
