We’re looking for a proactive Transport Planner to take ownership of planning and coordinating the fleet, ensuring smooth, efficient, and reliable deliveries across the network for this fantastic well-known brand.
Job Responsibility:
Plan and schedule daily deliveries using route optimization tools
Liaise with drivers and customer service teams to ensure delivery performance
De-brief drivers and review delivery reports regularly
Prepare and maintain key operational reports – COD, failed deliveries, temperature, KPI’s, and other spreadsheets
Maximize route efficiency and minimize failed deliveries through effective planning
Manage delivery and collection bookings for internal and third-party fleets
Coordinate with 3rd party hauliers where required
Ensure credit stop lists are cleared and daily reporting completed
Escalate and resolve any service or fleet issues promptly
Requirements:
Experienced in transport planning, ideally with PTV Route Optimizer
Confident using SAP and Microsoft Excel
Knowledge of multi-temperature delivery vehicles and compliance requirements
Excellent geographical knowledge and ability to plan routes cost-effectively
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
Collaborative team player with clear communication and attention to detail
Must be comfortable with and able to commit to a Sunday-Thursday shift pattern
