We're currently looking for a Transport Operations Specialist for our office in Rotterdam.
Job Responsibility:
Plan and execute international inbound and outbound shipments across air, ocean and road
Coordinate transport flows between CMOs, hubs, 3PLs and customers globally
Monitor shipment milestones (pickup, ETD, ETA, delivery) and proactively resolve deviations
Act as the operational point of contact for freight forwarders and logistics partners
Review and ensure accuracy of export documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, trade docs)
Support customs clearance processes and ensure correct application of INCOTERMS
Coordinate shipments involving dangerous goods and temperature-sensitive products in line with ADR, IMDG and IATA requirements
Validate freight invoices and maintain accurate transport data in ERP systems
Identify recurring operational issues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or related field
3-5 years' experience in international transport coordination, freight forwarding or global logistics operations
Experience from FMCG, healthcare, pharma or another regulated industry is a strong advantage
Solid understanding of INCOTERMS, customs documentation and export procedures
Familiarity with dangerous goods handling requirements (ADR, IMDG, IATA)
Experience working with ERP systems and strong Excel skills
Structured and process-oriented with strong attention to detail
Proactive problem solver who is comfortable working with multiple stakeholders across countries
Clear and confident communicator in an international business environment
