Job Description:

FM Conway is currently seeking a Transport Compliance Manager to join our Transport Division. As our Transport Compliance Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring full compliance with all road transport legislation, driver regulations and company standards across our Eastern and Northwest Operator Licences. This is a permanent, full-time position, covering London and the South East traffic areas.

Job Responsibility:

  • Managing compliance with EU driver and vehicle tachograph regulations, driver domestic hours regulations and Working Time Regulations
  • Producing monthly compliance reports for the Senior Transport Manager
  • Conducting regular vehicle gate checks and depot visits to oversee vehicle defect reporting
  • Managing drivers’ CPC compliance and delivering driver inductions for external hauliers
  • Overseeing compliance for conveyance tickets, PCNs, and vehicle cleanliness and condition
  • Supporting the delivery of driver toolbox talks and investigating vehicle damage
  • Assisting in achieving and maintaining FORS and BSI 39001 compliance
  • Administering the Dart-tag account and vehicle tracking system to improve fuel efficiency and vehicle utilisation
  • Maintaining the Professional Drivers Recognition Scheme and supporting drivers where required

Requirements:

  • Experience managing compliance for a large fleet of vehicles in a transport related environment
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise tasks effectively under pressure
  • CPC in Road Transport Management is essential
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Good knowledge of UK driving legislation
