Job Description

Our client is a leading national environmental solutions provider located in Arndell Park. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Allocator to join the NSW operations team. Reporting directly to the Depot / Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the direct allocation of logistics collection schedules to their fleet. This role coordinates driver operations by providing critical logistical and technical support to maximize route efficiency and ensure the safe completion of jobs. You will hold direct supervisory responsibility for all drivers within your assigned team.

Job Responsibility

  • Allocate drivers and trucks to coordinate service deliveries and collections, maximizing run and route efficiency
  • Monitor driver hours, rest breaks, Advanced Fatigue Management, and truck weights. Ensure strict adherence to the company's Road Transport Fatal Risk Prevention Protocol and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) policies
  • Conduct daily driver debriefs, update team members on scheduling changes, and resolve or escalate driver compliance concerns
  • Undertake live, real-time vehicle tracking for client services and monitor business KPI reporting for designated routes
  • Administer the driver payroll function to ensure accurate hours are recorded, verify operational reports, and assist billing administration with service confirmations
  • Liaise with customers, sales reps, and administrative staff to resolve service issues in a timely and effective manner
  • Conduct monthly safety interactions, assist with incident/property damage investigations, and actively promote a proactive WHS workplace culture

Requirements

  • Demonstrated knowledge and operational experience within transport, logistics, or supply chain environments
  • Competency in MS Office is required
  • proficiency with a similar logistics/scheduling software is highly preferred
  • Local geographical knowledge of the Central Coast and Hunter Region is essential
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, effective negotiation skills, and a dedicated customer service focus
  • 2 years experience
