This is an excellent opportunity to join a committed team based at our client’s site in Derby. As part of the Shunting office, you will carry out a range of administrative tasks that help ensure the smooth running of daily operations. The role places strong emphasis on the use of IT systems and on clearly communicating information to Shunter Drivers, key stakeholders, and the customer.
Job Responsibility:
Management of the on-site shunting trailer control system application
Management of onsite container shunting logs
Populating information on the parts control systems
Ensuring KPI’s are created/maintained
Liaising with other Yusen departments and customers to answer queries
Complete shunt audit information as required
Answering email/telephone queries
Raising defects for shunt vehicles and trailers / containers
Seeking continual improvement opportunities within shunt / site operation
Comfortable working a rotating shift pattern and willing to undertake overtime when required
Requirements:
Good communication skills - verbal and written
Computer literate - Microsoft Applications and MS Teams
Previous Transport admin experience is an advantage
Ability to withstand pressure and work to tight deadlines
Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
Attention to detail
Good organisational skills
Legal right to work in the UK
