Job Description:

The Solid Organ (SOT) Transplant RN Coordinator serves as the quality and compliance coordinator for SOT programs to encompass all phases of transplant and donation. Prepares and maintains all programs in survey readiness for CDPH, CMS, UNOS, and TJC.

Job Responsibility:

  • Partners with quality and regulatory teams on transplant quality program i.e. QAPI, FACT, UNOS, LEAN, CMS
  • Plans and attends morbidity and mortality meetings, participates in PDCA projects, supports best practice and protocol review and development meetings
  • Responds to call 24/7 as scheduled
  • Supports clinical operations within the liver transplant programs by performing essential functions of a transplant coordinator: Coordinating the clinical management of patient care under the supervision of transplant providers

  • Participates in the provision of education and support to community health care professionals who may encounter VAD patients.

  • Ensures compliance with state, federal, and organizational guidelines and other regulatory agencies, as appropriate.
