Job Description

The Transmission Network team lead is a technical role, responsible for supporting the overall submarine optical transmission network implementing and operation.

Job Responsibility

  • Leading a team to provide optical transmission networks infrastructure design, implementation and day-2 operation support
  • Responsible to deliver network services and collaborate with various NOC to manage quality operation to customers including Telco, OTT and Enterprises
  • Plan, design, implement, operate optical transmission infrastructures in multiple PoPs within Singapore
  • Work closely with Global Product tower to plan, design, source for appropriate facilities and equipment
  • Collaborate with various cable NOC to delivery end-to-end networks services
  • Engage in technical Pre-sales support on optical connectivity solutions to customer
  • Manage and operates customer’s optical networks that comprises mainly SLTE and backhaul DWDM equipment
  • Collaborate with Cable Landing Station (CLS) facilities operation team, under the leadership of CLS manager, participate in maintaining the CLS facilities in secure and good condition to house subsea cable systems
  • Perform regular PFE maintenance as well as supporting cable repair works 24 x 7 basis

Requirements

  • Min 8 years relevant hands-on experience in SLTE or DWDM platform environment
  • Bachelor’s/Graduate Degree in Engineering or Computer Science or IT related studies
  • Experienced in managerial position or similar capacity in providing optical network services
  • Good interpersonal and communication (both written and oral)
  • Related technical certification are advantage example : Ciena, Nokia(Infinera), Adtran and Huawei, Aperio peer or competitor
