Job Description:

A large, structured utility organization is seeking a Transmission Line Ratings Project Manager to lead a high-visibility initiative focused on enhancing grid stability, reliability, and real-time monitoring capabilities. This role is responsible for driving the successful execution of dynamic line ratings projects, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams across Technology and Operations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage multiple concurrent initiatives, prioritizing scope, resources, and timelines to meet project objectives
  • Partner with Technology, Operations, and stakeholder groups to align requirements and ensure smooth execution
  • Develop and maintain project plans, including scope, schedule, milestones, resource planning, and budget oversight
  • Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and escalate issues as appropriate
  • Provide structured, proactive status updates to leadership and project sponsors
  • Lead technology implementation activities, including data conversion and integration with existing systems
  • Ensure project deliverables meet established quality standards, testing procedures, and acceptance criteria
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, RAID logs, and lessons learned
  • Facilitate requirements definition and prioritization for technology enhancements tied to transmission system monitoring
  • Support continuous improvement efforts, ensuring projects meet industry best practices and organizational standards

Requirements:

  • Seven or more years of project management experience in a technical, engineering, or utility-related environment
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Strong experience with project management methodologies, including both Agile and Waterfall
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of risk mitigation and issue resolution
  • Experience using project management tools such as JIRA and Confluence
  • Hands-on experience leading technology implementations and data conversion efforts
  • Solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and cost-management principles
  • Exposure to data analytics or business intelligence tools is a plus

Nice to have:

  • Experience working within regulated industries
  • Knowledge of transmission system operations, grid technologies, or related domains
  • PMP or Agile certification
  • Familiarity with large-scale enterprise infrastructure environments and established PM frameworks
