The Precision Medicine research group led by Prof. Salvatore Piscuoglio is seeking a highly motivated Translational Research Technician (100%) to join our team of bioinformaticians, molecular biologists, pathologists, and clinical fellows. The successful candidate will play a key role in both the coordination of research activities and the execution of laboratory work in support of ongoing research studies.
Job Responsibility:
Manage and update research databases, ensuring data accuracy and integrity
Support clinicians in patient recruitment and in the correct execution of study procedures
Participate in the collection, handling, and documentation of biological samples
Perform wet-lab activities, including tissue processing and PBMC isolation, for the maintenance of the internal biobank
Contribute to the generation and maintenance of organoid cultures
Collaborate closely with clinicians, researchers, and other laboratory staff to ensure the smooth execution of all study-related activities
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biological Sciences, Biotechnology, or a related field
Previous experience in a research laboratory (experience with cell culture, PBMC isolation, or organoids is an advantage)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Strong organisational and communication skills, particularly in an international and collaborative environment
Good command of both English and Italian, as part of the role involves interacting with healthcare professionals and managing clinical data in Italian
High attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
