Job Description

A growing transition management team is looking to hire a Transition Manager or Senior Transition Manager to support the delivery of bulk annuity transactions. This is a client-facing role focused on managing the journey of pension schemes through the BPA process, from initial transaction through to buy-in and ultimately buy-out. The role sits at the heart of the transaction process and works closely with pricing, origination and execution teams while maintaining strong relationships with trustees and scheme stakeholders.

Job Responsibility

  • Supporting BPA pitch activity and transaction processes
  • Attending and contributing to client and trustee meetings
  • Working closely with pricing and transaction teams during deals
  • Managing scheme transitions from sale through to buy-in and buy-out
  • Acting as a key relationship contact for pension schemes throughout the transition process
  • Coordinating internal teams and ensuring smooth delivery of transactions

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of defined benefit (DB) pensions
  • Understanding of bulk annuity / BPA transactions
  • Experience supporting or managing pension scheme transactions
  • Ability to build strong client relationships
  • Comfortable explaining technical pension concepts clearly to non-technical audiences
  • Strong organisational and project management skills
