Job Description

We have a career opportunity for a Transit Planning Project Manager in our Miami office! This position will be under the guidance of the Group Manager or Senior Project Manager and will coordinate with other Project Managers and team members as needed. This position has the opportunity for great career progression, working on challenging projects for a wide range of public sector clients.

Job Responsibility

  • Participate or lead transportation planning projects for a variety of public agency clients in the South Florida market
  • Prepare, review, and oversee quality control/assurance for project deliverables
  • Serve as a liaison with key clients to coordinate Benesch projects and assist in project delivery
  • Mentor, guide, and develop other staff
  • Contribute to business development activities such as developing project teams, leading pursuit strategies, and proposal writing

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in planning, Geography, Engineering, or related field
  • Strong understanding of transportation planning concepts, practices, and procedures
  • General project management experience including project staffing, budgeting/cost control, schedule adherence, and quality control
  • Strong technical, communication, and writing skills
  • Ability to identify business needs and opportunities and effectively forge client and teaming relationships
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office

Nice to have

  • Experience managing multimodal transportation projects is preferred
  • Knowledge of Miami-Dade County, FDOT regulations, policies, and procedures, and/or agency experience a plus
  • AICP preferred
