Job Description:

Looking for an experienced Interim Finance Manager to join the team on a 4–6 month contract to support core financial operations while leading key finance transformation and system implementation initiatives. This role will take ownership of the month-end process and financial reporting while driving improvements to processes, controls, and systems across the finance function. The successful candidate will combine strong technical accounting skills with a proactive mindset for change management, process optimisation, and finance system implementation.

Job Responsibility:

  • Own and manage the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely completion
  • Prepare and review monthly financial statements and management reports
  • Complete and review balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and appropriate controls
  • Support the preparation of statutory and internal financial reporting requirements
  • Lead or support the implementation of new finance systems, including testing, configuration support, and process design
  • Drive process improvement initiatives across the finance function to enhance efficiency, controls, and reporting capability
  • Manage change management activities, ensuring successful adoption of new systems and processes
  • Document and redesign finance workflows to align with best practices
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Monitor cash flow and financial performance, highlighting risks and opportunities
  • Provide analysis and insights to support decision-making

Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Proven experience managing month-end close and financial reporting in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated experience in finance transformation, system implementation, or ERP upgrades
  • Strong Excel skills (e.g., advanced formulas, data analysis, modelling)
  • Experience improving finance processes and implementing stronger controls
  • Ability to operate independently in an interim / contract environment and deliver results quickly
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

Nice to have:

  • Previous experience with ERP or finance system implementations
  • Experience working in change, transformation, or finance improvement projects
  • Experience documenting and redesigning finance processes

  • Project manage the Book of Work in relation to Risk Transformation in partnership with other Program Management leads, businesses and other functions, with best-in-class execution discipline
  • Provide on-the-ground support to help execution of the program
  • Monitor and track execution of the program and escalate program risks impacting project delivery to appropriate stakeholders
  • ensure mitigation strategies are developed and executed when necessary
  • Support adherence to program processes, procedures, methods, and standards for program delivery and leverage across the programs
  • Support the identification and drive resolution of issues, including those outside established projects of work
