Job Description:

The role works closely with the Senior Manager of Transformation Governance, the Transformation Assurance team, Group colleagues and unit transformation teams to govern BT’s transformation, proactively mitigating risks and working collaboratively on interventions to ultimately improve the transformation performance.

Job Responsibility:

  • Managing the ExCo governance framework
  • Support the flawless and timely preparation, agendas and coordination of transformation governance
  • Maintain a live roadmap of transformation topics that should be taken to ExCo for discussion
  • Prepare a monthly performance summary for transformation
  • Manage the actions from ExCo forums
  • Monitoring Transformation Portfolio Risks
  • Manage the transformation risk framework, refreshing bi-annually
  • Proactively identify risks and work with stakeholders on mitigations
  • Monitor performance against appetite threshold
  • Managing the Group KPI framework
  • Set up & manage the process to seamlessly monitor they key indicators of delivery of the BT strategy
  • Lead the target setting process for Strategy & Change
  • Produce ExCo and Board level reporting and generate insights
  • Work with colleagues in Group planning to automate data capture from source and dashboarding
  • Driving interventions to improve transformation performance
  • Leverage insights on performance from the governance framework to identity where interventions are needed
  • Shape interventions, gaining stakeholder buy-in and driving to completion
  • Support with Transformation Assurance reviews

Requirements:

  • Experience working within the transformation field within large – ideally international - FTSE 100 companies, or within professional services/consultancy
  • Experience of working on transformation programmes in multiple industries, in particular on transformations that need to deliver top and bottom line growth
  • Knowledge of project and programme lifecycles, especially agile delivery
  • Knowledge of the technology and telco sectors
  • Problem solving: proven ability to identify risks and issues, and provide robust recommendations to support management in resolving
  • Stakeholder management: strong relationship skills to work across organisational boundaries and influence stakeholders
  • Discipline: ability to set standards and assess delivery against them
  • Analytics: ability to assimilate and interpret situations and data
  • Collaboration: ability to work collaboratively and proactively manage workload in an agile team environment
  • Communications: engaging with a broad range of stakeholders creating the environment for constructive dialogue
  • Resilience: high levels of resilience to engage positively in challenging situations
  • Intellectual Curiosity: to rapidly build a comprehensive understanding of the BT Group and its businesses and value drivers, and the sector and markets in which it operates
