As Transaction Services Expert, you will be responsible for managing complex and standard lending in Loan IQ for HSBC Continental Europe, supporting end-to-end credit customer journey across Corporate and Institutional Banking (‘CIB’). The role will require you to manage operational activities with within defined Service Level Agreements (‘SLA’) and high-level quality, while ensuring that areas of operational risks are identified, monitored and managed effectively to enable business continuity. Adaptability to a changing environment and alignment of operation to strategic decisions will be key to succeed.
Job Responsibility:
Manage all structured and syndicated loan files related to asset financing, LBOs, corporate loans, real estate developer loans, international trade-related loans, and buyer credits for standard & complex transactions
Conduct daily reconciliation and analysis of CRI/CRE for both Balance-Sheet & Off- Balance Sheet items, as well as CCT (Treasury Accounts) using the internal LILO-CCT tool
Coordinate with ISV Operations teams and hold regular meetings with Middle & Back-office to address required adjustments, manage CRE rejects, and ensure all necessary monthly adjustments are submitted to Finance
Perform weekly controls on funding positions for loans via an internal tool IBTOOL
Perform weekly controls of manual accounting entries (samples) & monthly control of Nostro breaks
Conduct SOX controls
Perform monthly Accounting Certification of Balance-Sheet & Off-Balance Sheet accounts
Regularly produce reports for ISV Ops/ATS, TMU/OCS/ISV Sector, and respond to ad hoc queries on different topics from external auditors, tax administration, and finance department
Change management on internal tools: LILO-CCT & IBTOOL
As part of the Custodian Control of FCT: Oversee the setup of new FCTs and monitor publishable legal information when necessary
Requirements:
University degree in accounting
Experience in the banking industry and corporate credit area
Knowledge of complex financial credit operations and their accounting treatment
Strong understanding of financial and legal aspects of securitization transactions
Proficiency in accounting methods
Proven record of managing a wide range of stakeholders in an international environment
Adaptability, rigor, efficiency, proactivity, dynamism, and team spirit
Good analytical skills
Ability to multi-task and manage several applications
Problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and ability to work in a team
Fluent English (oral and written)
Proficiency in MS Office
