The Client: Our partner is a renowned international financial institution based in Luxembourg City. They are currently looking for a dynamic Investment Officer to join their Microfinance, Alternative Lenders, and Fintech Division. This is a unique opportunity to work on thematic investments supporting social entrepreneurship, microfinance, and the cultural sector within a multicultural and high-level professional environment. The Role: Reporting to senior members of the Investment Office, you will be responsible for the appraisal and execution of transactions covering diversified loan portfolios.
Job Responsibility
Transaction Analysis: Perform qualitative and quantitative assessments of new transactions, focusing on credit risk and policy objectives
Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with legal, risk management, and compliance teams to ensure smooth transaction workflows
Reporting & Due Diligence: Draft transaction requests for approval and comprehensive due diligence reports
Negotiation & Execution: Contribute to the negotiation of guarantee transactions and the finalization of legal documentation
Relationship Management: Maintain strong ties with financial institutions and promote guarantee facilities
Mandate Development: Support the creation of new products and analyze data specific to the allocated thematic focus
Requirements
At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in the banking sector or financial consulting
Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
Strong analytical and drafting skills
Fluent English (written and oral) is mandatory
Nice to have
Any other EU language is considered a significant asset
