Job Description

Transaction Management (TM) serves as a critical component of our First Line of Defense for wholesale and counterparty credit risk. TM works through the challenges of the Wholesale Credit Risk Lending processes with the aim of transforming the credit risk process flows, including but not limited to operational oversight, legal documentation, and collateral. The scope of responsibilities and scale of this team will evolve over time to continue to meet internal needs. TM will coordinate with credit management groups across corporate businesses to ensure full alignment on business and regulatory goals, as well as consistency and best practices where appropriate.

Job Responsibility

  • Participate in legal documentation drafting for approved transactions
  • Review executed credit legal documentation to detect any deficiencies before funds disbursement
  • Communicate with all stakeholders in the credit process, primarily with Risk, Business, and Legal teams, as well as with internal/external auditors
  • Maintain documentation-related data attributes in various internal systems
  • Review collateral documentation and maintain collateral-related data attributes in various internal systems
  • Review month-end reports for assigned portfolio segment(s) following data quality processes and submit or process adjustments, verifying their accuracy
  • Assist businesses with implementing complex credit structures based on customer’s requirements
  • Apply in-depth knowledge and contribute to simplification and standardization of processes
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, considering the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy
  • Escalate, manage, and report control issues with transparency

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s/University degree is preferred
  • Demonstrated analytical skills
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Fluency in English and Romanian
  • Ability to prioritize deliverables and work independently of direct supervision
  • Ability to collaborate across multiple business lines and levels of management
  • Ability to adapt to changes in a dynamic environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on MS Excel
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented
