Job Description

As a Training Instructor at Arco Professional Safety Services, you'll find yourself immersed in a dynamic role that goes beyond mere instruction. You will be the linchpin of a team dedicated to equipping professionals with the skills and knowledge they need to navigate working at height and confined spaces safely and confidently.

Job Responsibility

  • Deliver, and be involved with the delivery of, a wide range of client support services, both accredited and non-accredited
  • Support the delivery of a range of Health & Safety Training courses
  • Help in the generation of new clients and promoting the range of services available
  • Develop and deliver bespoke client courses
  • Maintain the training equipment and storage areas
  • Assist with practical demonstrations and equipment sales events

Requirements

  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Good verbal communication skills, interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and alone unsupervised
  • Strong IT skills with a knowledge of presentation packages and equipment
  • Happy to travel (when needed) to client sites, as well as occasional out of hours/ weekend working (pre-agreed)
  • Hold at least one of the below qualifications and be prepared to develop and train in other areas: Confined Space Training (City & Guilds)
  • Health & Safety – Tech IOSH or above
  • Work at Height – IRATA Level 1 (minimum)

  • Delivering training in classroom and plant simulator environments, as well as providing coaching and mentoring of trainees to expedite learning

  • Leading and delivering training to groups from 1 up to 20 people, depending on the subject and environment
  • Acting as the subject matter expert for your area and demonstrating a deep understanding of the relevant company standards, becoming the company expert and representative in your areas

  • Communicating with line managers for the successful development of competence within your staff
