About the Role: We are proud to become a new Australian Department of Defence partner, offering career opportunities to support the delivery of Property and Asset Services across South Australia and the Northern Territory. We have an opportunity available for a Training Area Range (TAR) Caretaker in our Defence division. These are permanent full-time positions based at Bradshaw Training Range NT. Job Responsibility

  • Maintaining a 24/7 presence and/or being the point of contact (POC)
  • Providing general oversight and security of TAR 24/7
  • Being available on an on-call basis to perform minor corrective works
  • Planning and delivering presentations to Defence and recording outcomes
  • Performing range inspections after every use to check for damage, vandalism or theft
  • Ensuring that the facilities are safe, operational and ready for the next user

Requirements

  • Experience in a similar role, or in security or facility management, with exposure to emergency response and minor repair works
  • Experience within the Defence sector would be highly regarded
  • Relevant certifications in facility management or security would be highly regarded
  • First aid certification (preferred)
  • Valid driver's licence
  • You must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance

  • Maintain the general ledger and supporting documentation with a high standard of accuracy and organization
  • Review financial activity for correct account coding and alignment with grant guidelines and funding requirements
  • Contribute to month-end and year-end close processes by organizing data, resolving open items, and supporting timely completion of reporting
  • Assist in preparing financial information for leadership, funding agencies, and audit requests as needed
  • Research accounting variances and discrepancies and take prompt action to resolve issues
  • Preserve well-organized accounting files and records in line with nonprofit accounting practices and documentation standards
