We are currently seeking a Trainer Course Developer to join our team in Quantico, Virginia (US-VA), United States (US). Job Summary: The Senior Instructor will identify training objectives and interface with design and development teams to ensure incorporation of training needs into the training system. The Senior Instructor shall design, develop, document and deliver training courses to a wide range of audiences. The Senior Instructor should be familiar with Law Enforcement Databases, such as NCIC, NLETS, and NADDIS. The Senior Instructors will be certified in PenLink and possess a working knowledge of classroom equipment.
Job Responsibility:
Provide and support classroom instruction as their main duty
Ensure the instructional venue is adequate and prepared for instruction
Work with instructional development teams to identify training objectives
Ensure the provided instruction is documented per client policy
Utilize a mix of training techniques
formal lectures, tutorials, hands-on and computer aided Instruction
Utilize a mix of media
PowerPoint, videos, webcast, handouts, etc.
Be familiar with Law Enforcement Databases
Maintain PenLink Certified Instructor status
Update handouts, exercises and lesson plans for software version updates and improved instruction as needed
Create and update lesson plans
Administer the Certification Exams for basic students and upon request
Develop and maintain class materials for the programs listed
Maintain computer classroom calendars
Provide requesting units with classroom availability and scheduling information
Provide one-on-one computer (non-Firebird) support to client personnel on as needed basis via desk side, email, or phone
Requirements:
BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, Physical Science, or other technology-related discipline
High School Diploma + 4 additional years of experience = Associate's Degree
Associate's Degree + 4 additional years of experience = Bachelor's Degree
Minimum 3 years of formal classroom instruction experience
