The traineeship at Volkswagen Communications is a two-year training program certified by the German Academy for Public Relations (DAPR). You will learn how to plan and implement communication projects for a globally operating automotive company. During the program, you will work in various departments within Volkswagen Communications. A traineeship with a focus on digital communications provides solid expertise in the areas of social media communication and data analysis. You will learn how social media content is planned, created, managed, and evaluated. Your main tasks will involve carrying out projects within our Data Intelligence and Social Media teams.
Job Responsibility:
Participation in day‑to‑day operations and support in topic planning, content planning/creation/distribution, as well as the conception and execution of community management
Contributing to PR concepts that are holistic and cross‑channel, tailored to the needs of the target audience (keyword: “Social Core”)
Content management: planning, creating, and publishing creative assets such as texts, images, and videos
Campaign management (owned, earned): planning, steering, and optimizing PR campaigns across various social media platforms
Community management: interacting with the community, responding to comments and inquiries, and moderating discussions
Monitoring, analysis & strategic reputation management: independent analysis of performance data, contributing to and creating strategic cross‑channel analyses, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and corporate objectives
Data‑driven performance evaluation and independent implementation of projects
Execution of a project within the Data Intelligence team as well as up to four additional projects in various communication departments
Requirements:
Completed master’s degree in media/communication, ideally with a focus on data analysis, statistics, data-driven marketing, or similar areas
Strong affinity for social media
Analytical mindset and enjoyment in working with data
High level of creativity and curiosity
Enjoyment of working in an agile environment
At least six months of practical experience through relevant internships
German and English language proficiency at C1 level
