Job Responsibility

  • Assist in the manufacture of custom orthotic devices, including foot orthoses and braces
  • Work with a variety of materials such as plastics, leather, and foam to produce orthotics
  • Ensure all orthotic devices are manufactured to prescribed specifications and quality standards
  • Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment
  • Support the Senior Technicians with troubleshooting and repairs of orthotic devices
  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines, ensuring compliance with industry regulations

Requirements

  • An interest in healthcare or a related field
  • Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to follow technical instructions
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to work as part of a team
  • A positive, can-do attitude with a willingness to learn

Nice to have

  • Experience of working with hand tools, router or grinders
  • Basic understanding of anatomy or healthcare
  • Previous experience in a technical, hands-on role
