Job Description:

Trainee Teacher - SEN School & College - Cranleigh: A Rewarding Path to Teaching Excellence. Job Responsibility:

Start as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, providing individualized support to learners
Work towards Level 3 TA qualification and then qualify as a HLTA
Train as a Level 1 ABA teacher
Focus on individualized learning plans and provide a safe, nurturing environment for students

Requirements:

Have a genuine passion for working with children and young adults with special educational needs
Are patient, caring, and enthusiastic about supporting learners
Have experience working in education, children's homes, or EYFS (minimum 6 months)
Have a strong understanding of the importance of individualised learning plans and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse needs
Are comfortable working with students who may exhibit challenging behaviour
Have experience with Picture Exchange Communication Systems (PECs) or other communication tools for non-verbal learners (desirable)
Have experience with speech & language or BSL (desirable)
A valid DBS check
A full driving licence (preferred)
GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4 or equivalent)
Eligibility to work in the UK without sponsorship

Nice to have:

Have experience with Picture Exchange Communication Systems (PECs) or other communication tools for non-verbal learners
Have experience with speech & language or BSL
