Job Description

This inviting and creative specialist school is currently seeking a trainee teacher to support learning across KS2 and 3. This is a fabulous opportunity to join a team that is listened to, respected and valued. This school is highly regarded and has grown year on year since it opened in 2015. The school currently supports 70+ pupils with an ASD diagnosis and/or associated conditions. Learners that attend this school are happy and content and the school is committed to offering all students continuity and a place to thrive. Pupils can play freely outside or choose a quiet space indoors, their individual needs and interests are echoed in their school experience.

Job Responsibility

  • Support SEN learners on a 1:1 basis in a small class environment
  • Support the learners education with the support of the SLT
  • Support the delivery of all subjects in the broad and balanced curriculum
  • Based on a 2 year training programme
  • Once training is completed move into the senior teaching team

Requirements

  • Be a resilient, committed and enthusiastic individual
  • Relevant teaching assistant, childcare or care experience (UK based)
  • GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
