Location: Cranleigh. Contract Type: Full-Time Permanent position. Start Date: September 2026. Qualification: SEN experience. Randstad Education is recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic Trainee Teacher for a unique role in a forward-thinking specialist school. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team and develop your career with outstanding mentorship and professional growth. This is a full time permanent position and you will be required to support five days a week Monday - Friday inline with school hours.

Job Responsibility

  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to students with Autism
  • Create and maintain a structured, positive, and low-arousal classroom environment
  • Assess student progress against individualised targets and EHCP outcomes
  • Collaborate closely with a multi-disciplinary team of teachers and therapists

Requirements

  • Degree
  • SEN experience
  • Proven experience supporting children with SEN (e.g., ASC, SEMH, SpLD)
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding procedures and the UK curriculum
  • Effective communication and positive behaviour management skills
  • A full, clean driving licence and access to a car
  • Level 2/3 qualification in Supporting Teaching & Learning is desirable

Nice to have

  • A Level 2/3 qualification in Supporting Teaching & Learning is desirable
  • A DBS on the update service would be a distinct advantage
