Job Description:

Discover Your Purpose: Become a Trainee Teacher at a Leading Specialist School. Are you ready to make a profound difference in the lives of autistic children and young people? Do you possess an unwavering passion for inclusive education and a deep commitment to fostering independent learning? A leading "Outstanding" Ofsted-rated specialist institution, and the only fully accredited CABAS® school in Europe, invites you to embark on a deeply rewarding career journey as a Trainee Teacher. Join our exceptional team in Cranleigh, Surrey, and become an integral part of a methodology renowned for accelerating progress and unlocking the full potential of every pupil. Why Join Our Team? At our school, we don't just teach; we transform. Our unique CABAS® (Comprehensive Application of Behaviour Analysis to Schooling) methodology provides a scientifically proven framework for delivering highly individualised education plans. You'll be part of a pioneering environment where every day offers the opportunity to: Learn from the Best: Work side-by-side with experienced and qualified CABAS® teachers, gaining hands-on expertise in a world-leading approach to autism education. Empower Independent Learners: Contribute directly to developing crucial communication, independent living, and social skills that equip our pupils for lifelong success. Be Part of an "Outstanding" Team: Join a school consistently recognised for its excellence, where dedication, innovation, and a supportive learning environment are at our core. Receive Comprehensive Training: No prior CABAS® experience? No problem. We provide full, in-depth training to ensure you master this transformative methodology. Shape Futures: Your work will directly contribute to creating a stimulating and nurturing environment where autistic children and young people thrive. Your Role as a Trainee Teacher: As a Trainee Teacher, you will be immersed in the heart of our teaching department. Under the guidance of an Experienced or Senior Teacher, you will: Actively learn and meticulously implement the CABAS® methodology in daily teaching practices. Assist in delivering individualised education plans tailored to the unique needs of each pupil. Contribute to creating a positive, engaging, and supportive learning atmosphere. Support pupils in developing essential communication, independent living, and social skills. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team dedicated to pupil progress. While experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs, is beneficial, it is not essential. We value: A strong, demonstrable passion for working with autistic children and a genuine commitment to inclusive education. An eagerness to learn and fully immerse yourself in the CABAS® methodology. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect effectively with pupils, colleagues, and parents. Patience, empathy, and a consistently positive attitude. A commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning.
