Job Description:

This specialist community school is currently seeking a SEN Trainee Teacher to join their team on a permanent basis. The school supports 85 pupils aged 4-19 years with autism and associated needs. The role includes a 2-year program transitioning from a 1:1 teaching assistant to a fully trained SEN teacher.

Job Responsibility:

Provide high quality, challenging and differentiated educational activities and sensory experiences through the teaching of a broad and balanced curriculum on a 1:1 basis and in some cases in the teaching of small classrooms of learners

Requirements:

Creative, friendly and resilient individual who is committed to supporting learners with SEN
Experience working or volunteering with children or young adults (desirable)
GCSE in Maths and English or equivalent
Eligibility to work in the UK
