Job Description:

Trainee Teacher - SEN School & College - Cranleigh: A Rewarding Path to Teaching Excellence. We're seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our innovative SEN school and college in Cranleigh, Surrey. We offer a unique, supportive, and stimulating environment where you can develop your skills and make a real difference in the lives of learners with a wide range of needs.

Job Responsibility:

Provide individualized support to learners
Develop skills and qualifications needed to become a successful SEN teacher
Work towards Level 3 TA qualification, qualify as a HLTA, and train as a Level 1 ABA teacher

Requirements:

A valid DBS check
A full driving licence (preferred)
GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4 or equivalent)
Eligibility to work in the UK without sponsorship
Have a genuine passion for working with children and young adults with special educational needs
Are patient, caring, and enthusiastic about supporting learners
Have experience working in education, children's homes, or EYFS (minimum 6 months)
Have a strong understanding of the importance of individualised learning plans and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse needs
Are comfortable working with students who may exhibit challenging behaviour

Nice to have:

Have experience with Picture Exchange Communication Systems (PECs) or other communication tools for non-verbal learners
Have experience with speech & language or BSL

Term-time only contract
Competitive starting salary of £23,000 per year
