Job Responsibility
Support the planning and delivery of Design and Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4, working alongside experienced teachers
Develop the skills and knowledge needed to become an effective classroom practitioner
Build positive relationships with students and contribute to their academic and personal development
Foster creativity, problem-solving skills, innovation, and practical design skills within Design and Technology
Support students in developing technical knowledge, design processes, and safe workshop practices
Assist with assessing, monitoring, and recording student progress
Contribute to the wider life of the school community
Engage fully with training, mentoring, and professional development opportunities
Uphold school policies and safeguarding procedures at all times
Requirements
GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English Language and Mathematics
A-Level grades with a combined minimum of BCC, including at least a Grade B in Design and Technology, Product Design, Engineering, or a related subject
A 2:2 degree or above in Design and Technology, Product Design, Engineering, Manufacturing, Architecture, or a closely related subject
Eligibility to train to teach in the UK
Holds an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to obtain one
