Job Description:

Fugro are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Trainee Surveyors who are ready to begin an exciting offshore career. You will have a strong interest in marine surveying, excellent attention to detail, and a desire to learn how offshore positioning, navigation and data acquisition are carried out across Fugro's service lines. You'll enjoy problem-solving, working as part of a close-knit offshore team, and are prepared to spend time offshore developing your skills. Whether you hold a relevant degree or have practical experience in surveying or offshore work, we want people who are curious, reliable and eager to grow.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support survey and positioning activities across service lines including Positioning & Construction Support (PCS) and Inspection, Repair & Maintenance (IRM)
  • learn to set up, test, calibrate and operate a wide range of survey and positioning systems
  • complete 4-week intensive training programme combining classroom learning and practical sessions

Requirements:

  • Strong interest in marine surveying
  • excellent attention to detail
  • desire to learn offshore positioning, navigation and data acquisition
  • problem-solving skills
  • ability to work as part of a close-knit offshore team
  • prepared to spend approximately 180 days offshore per year
  • strong computer skills
  • solid understanding of survey principles
  • degree in Geomatics, Geospatial, Surveying Sciences, Civil Engineering, Marine Science, Ocean Exploration, Physical or Marine Geography, or related subject
  • OR equivalent relevant experience in land or offshore surveying activities
  • enthusiasm, curiosity and willingness to learn
