Job Description:

Trainee Quantity Surveyor programme 2026. Time split between on-the-job training and working on live projects within Products, Response, Capital (Refurbishment works) or Painting and Decorating. Learn skills from experienced Surveyors and Business Managers. Attend structured modular training programme delivered by company Academy. Opportunity to achieve further professional qualifications externally.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supporting financial and technical aspects of the contract including procurement, invoicing, payments, cash flow and cost control
  • Learning to create cost efficiencies, maximising value and making a profit
  • Meeting and working with direct labour and subcontractors
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with team, customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients
  • Learning to procure materials and subcontractors through negotiation
  • Supporting production of monthly commercial reports including Cost Value Reconciliations
  • Becoming involved in tendering and winning new work
  • Managing relationships with key clients

Requirements:

  • Educated to at least A-level standard or equivalent (Level 3)
  • Maths GCSE (or equivalent) grade 4/C or above
  • Eligible to work in the UK on a permanent basis
  • Logical, analytical approach
  • Interest in numeracy/maths
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Enjoy engaging with a wide variety of people
