Job Description:

At DCS Group, quality and compliance sit at the heart of everything we do. As a trusted partner to some of the world’s leading FMCG brands for over 30 years, we’re committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and integrity across our operations. We’re now looking for a Trainee Quality & Compliance Coordinator to join our growing Quality & Compliance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual looking to build a long-term career within quality assurance, compliance, and risk management — with full training, mentoring, and structured development provided. Based across our Banbury and Redditch sites, you’ll work closely with the Group Quality & Compliance Team to gain hands-on experience across quality assurance, auditing, compliance, and continuous improvement within a fast-paced FMCG environment. You’ll develop a strong understanding of DCS Group’s Integrated Management System (IMS) and play a supportive role in maintaining our certified standards including ISO, BRCGS, GMP, and GDP, helping ensure our products consistently meet the highest levels of quality, safety, and compliance.

Job Responsibility:

  • Work alongside the Group Quality & Compliance Team to build knowledge of compliance frameworks, IMS, and operational processes
  • Participate in structured training covering auditing techniques, risk management, and quality systems
  • Observe and assist with quality control activities, including product inspections and release processes
  • Support compliance activities aligned to legislation, customer requirements, and internal standards
  • Assist with planning and conducting internal audits across departments
  • Support preparation for external audits, including documentation and corrective actions
  • Develop an understanding of maintaining ISO, BRCGS, and other company certifications
  • Support the quality function to ensure product quality, safety, and integrity standards are met
  • Assist with product release checks and documentation review
  • Gain exposure to root cause analysis and corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes
  • Support compliance with certified standards, SOPs, and relevant legislation
  • Gain hands-on understanding of GMP and GDP within manufacturing and distribution environments
  • Assist with compliance activities related to medicines, medical devices, and product recalls
  • Help identify improvement opportunities and support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Work collaboratively with the Quality & Compliance team and wider departments
  • Participate in team meetings, cross-functional projects, and operational initiatives
  • Act as a junior point of contact for compliance-related queries under supervision
  • Support the preparation of reports, presentations, and compliance documentation

Requirements:

  • A genuine interest in quality, compliance, and continuous improvement
  • Eager to learn, develop new skills, and build a long-term career in Quality & Compliance
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow processes accurately
  • Confident communicator with good written and verbal skills
  • Comfortable working collaboratively across teams and departments
  • Organised, proactive, and keen to take ownership of learning and development
  • IT literate, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
What we offer:
  • Life Cover
  • Pension Scheme
  • Medical Cash Plan
  • Cycle to Work Scheme
