Job Description:

This is an exciting trainee role for an enthusiastic and hands-on individual to start a career in print, production finishing and warehousing. You will be trained to accurately produce and finish high-quality work, ensuring every job meets client specifications. You will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day finishing and warehousing within the department, learning to uphold company quality control practices, and ensuring a high standard of work. Full training will be provided on our range of machinery, including laminating, cutting and welding.

Job Responsibility:

  • Learning to maintain and process work according to the production schedule
  • Assisting in quality checks to ensure work meets specifications and uses the correct materials
  • Collecting and processing finished work
  • Learning to operate various machines for tasks such as laminating different types of media, welding, cutting materials
  • Developing skills in reading technical specifications (like CAD laydowns) and performing basic checks on the cutting machines
  • Preparing completed jobs for despatch in accordance with delivery schedules
  • Creation of delivery notes using company systems
  • Supporting the QC (Quality Control) process
  • Completing required paperwork and updates
  • Notifying a manager promptly when a major issue is encountered
  • Learning to perform basic problem-solving to keep work flowing smoothly
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy work area and assisting with basic machine maintenance as trained

Requirements:

  • A strong interest in learning about print, finishing and warehousing processes
  • No specific prior machine experience is required
