Trainee Nurse Colposcopist

• Undertake the required training to eventually become a Colposcopy Clinical Nurse Specialist and the Cervical Screening Provider Lead for the trust
• Learn to lead and coordinate the colposcopy service, ensuring seamless and high-quality patient care
• Maintain adherence to national standards for patient safety and clinical practice, including preparing and reporting on national audits and reports
• Develop the skills to collaborate with the whole Colposcopy team to support the development and delivery of the cervical screening service, aligning with NHS England Service specifications
• Develop the knowledge and skills to provide senior clinical leadership, expert advice, and ongoing support to the nursing team and the broader multi-professional team, facilitating the delivery of safe, compassionate, and effective care

• RN 1st level
• IV additives certificate
• Teaching Qualification, Practice Assessor Qualification
• Extensive years experience in Gynaecology or other relevant agreed specialty/setting
• Experience of change management
• Experience of minor Gynaecological procedures e.g. Cervical cytology
• Knowledge of the NMC code of conduct
• Knowledge of and adherence to the uniform policy
• Knowledge of Health and Safety
• Knowledge of confidentiality
• Knowledge of risk management
• Knowledge of current NHS nursing agenda
• Knowledge of the NHSCSP and BSCCP guidelines
• Knowledge of the CMT Business plan
