Job Responsibility:

  • Review of health and safety processes and documentation
  • Assist in the production health & safety, environmental and quality documentation
  • Identifying new and amended safety requirements/legislation
  • Provision of safety awareness training and advice
  • Dissemination of safety information and ‘Tool Box Talks’
  • Site inspections, tours, site safety conversations and issuing all reports as required (Managers, Compliance)
  • Site specific (SWP, POS, IRATA) and internal system audits
  • Attendance of health, safety, quality or environmental related meetings with both QTS and Clients
  • Undertake and assist in the investigation of accidents and incidents
  • Encouraging and promoting Behavioural Safety/Science schemes
  • Ensuring compliance with QTS Management, Supporting and Works Procedures
  • Registering and maintenance of Close Calls
  • Assist in the investigation and reporting of incidents and accidents

Requirements:

  • NEBOSH Certificate
  • IOSH membership
  • Quality and Environmental Management Systems experience
  • Sound knowledge of the H&S requirements of legislation, Railway Group and Railway Company standards
