Job Description:

Kickstart Your Career as a Trainee Gas Engineer. Are you a newly qualified Gas Engineer with your CCN1 certification? Ready to turn your qualification into a rewarding career? Join our Trainee Development Program - a structured pathway designed to help you thrive and grow in the gas industry. As a trainee, you’ll work closely with a fully qualified and experienced Gas Engineer mentor who will guide and support you throughout your journey. Together, you’ll build the skills and confidence needed to complete the program and progress into a full-fledged Gas Engineer role.

Job Responsibility:

  • Work closely with a fully qualified and experienced Gas Engineer mentor
  • Travel to other AO locations
  • Gain hands-on experience across a variety of tasks and challenges
  • Benefit from mentorship of a seasoned Gas Engineer

Requirements:

  • Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points
  • CCN1 qualification
  • To be over the age of 21 for insurance purposes

Nice to have:

Some experience of installation of electrical appliances would be ideal but we'll train you to be electrically competent

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in offshore & onshore safety engineering for Oil & Gas project
  • Fluent English – Good written (including report writing) and verbal communication

  • Participation in safety workshops on project (eventually chairing ) HAZOP, HAZID, SIL review…
  • Participation to Plot plan reviews and 3D model reviews
  • Preparation and supervision of site survey, onshore and offshore
  • Vendor technical follow-up including Request For Quotation preparation, technical clarification and Vendor data review
  • Interfacing with client and internal project teams
  • Coordination of safety engineers team
  • Preparation of quotation offers, the technical bid evaluation and the follow-up of subcontracted safety studies (FRA, ERA, EERA, QRA, TRA, dropped object study, ship collision study, etc) with direct communication with our clients/subcontractors
  • Liaise and cooperate with other DORIS technical disciplines (process, layout, 3D models, structure, mechanical rotating, pipeline…) as part of your assignment on projects
  • Responsible (and report to the project management) for the progress of your discipline
