Job Responsibility:

  • Supporting the development and maintenance of environmental management systems and documentation
  • Assisting with and undertaking site inspections across plants, depots and project sites, reporting findings and ensuring compliance
  • Raising corrective actions and managing them through to close out
  • Logging and managing environmental incidents and complaints
  • Liaising with regulators, clients, consultants and internal teams
  • Supporting responses to regulatory requests and assisting with permits and planning applications
  • Collecting, analysing and reporting environmental data to support audits, reports and decision-making
  • Maintaining accurate records within online management systems and tracking progress of actions
  • Drafting environmental procedures, management plans and communications
  • Working collaboratively with the SHEQ team to support environmental compliance across the business

Requirements:

  • Recent Environmental Science graduate or looking to start a career in environmental management
  • Strong communication and IT skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to manage workload in a busy environment, both independently and as part of a team
  • An understanding of environmental regulations or the construction industry is beneficial but not essential
  • Full UK driving licence required
