Trainee Employment Solicitor role to advise and represent a diverse range of clients throughout the UK on employment law issues, from straightforward queries to complex, high-value matters. The role involves a high degree of autonomy and client contact, with potential opportunity to represent clients at employment tribunal hearings.
Job Responsibility:
Draft contracts, handbooks, letters and documents for clients using templates
Assist colleagues in the preparation of ET cases
Assist colleagues by researching legal points
Provide basic telephone and email advice direct to clients on basic employment law queries, subject to supervision
Ensure all advice to clients is timely, efficient, accurate, practical, and commercial
Adhere to WorkNest’s requirements and relevant professional standards
Undertake all training to ensure learning and development needs are met
Support the team as directed to provide high quality advice and legally compliant documentation
Requirements:
2:1 LLB Honours degree (or equivalent)
Successfully completed the Post-Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice
Some legal work experience (employment law experience desirable)
Ability to absorb information and keep up to date with legal developments
Ability to impart information to clients in a clear and concise manner avoiding legal jargon
Focused on quality and attention to detail
Excellent judgement and problem-solving qualities
Well-developed relationship management skills
Ability to work as part of a close-knit team
Excellent work planning, organising and management skills
