Job Description:

We are seeking a General Assistant to support our Drainage Engineers and Tanker Drivers. This role will provide you with training in order to move into a Drainage Engineer position further down the line. This would ideally suit someone from a civils/ground working background. We will provide full training – working towards becoming an Engineer within 6-12 months.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support Engineers in carrying out a range of services associated with the cleaning clearance, repair and maintenance of customer’s drains
  • Deliver an exceptional standard of customer service
  • Ensure work in accordance with H&S and Quality Assurance procedures
  • Communicate effectively with clients and Metro Rod Support Centre colleagues to ensure excellent customer service is provided at all times

Requirements:

  • Positive, flexible, can-do attitude
  • Willing to work some unsociable hours
  • Physically fit and able to work outdoors
  • Keen interest and desire to progress within the drainage industry
  • Willing to work towards NVQ level 2 drainage or equivalent
  • Must have full clean UK driving license and own vehicle
