Job Description:

The Opportunity: One of the UKs biggest and best independent utility network providers is looking for a graduate planning engineer to join them and work out of their Bury St Edmunds design office. This is a great opportunity to develop your career within a stable business with a strong forward order book on a full time, permanently employed basis with great training opportunities.

Job Responsibility:

Undertake utility demand calculations and design electrical networks (11kV - LV)
Preparation of network records using CAD and other systems
Apply for connection points electric substations
Liaise with other departments to progress approved networks in the design process
Issue data and reports in line with current business requirements
Performing volt drop calculations on windebut
Maintain and improve consistent accuracy of data asset records
Complete design-based risk assessment and environmental risk assessments

Requirements:

Have a recognised Electrical or Electronic Engineering qualification (Beng/ Bsc or Meng/ Msc degree preferred)
Experience of CAD packages
Knowledge of the UK Utilities Market
