Job Description:

We’re looking for a dedicated and passionate Trainee Cook / Kitchen Assistant to join our Extra Care team at Llys Raddington, Flint. In this role, you’ll support food preparation, make and bake desserts, and work towards achieving a Level 2 qualification in Hospitality and Catering. You’ll also help maintain kitchen supplies, ensure a clean and safe working environment, and contribute to the well-being and satisfaction of our residents.

Job Responsibility:

Assist in meal and ingredient preparation to support smooth kitchen operations
Help make and bake desserts for residents
Work towards Level 2 in Hospitality and Catering, and a recognized management qualification
Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen in line with food safety standards
Assist with kitchen supplies and stock management
Support the cook/chef in daily kitchen operations
Follow health and safety and food hygiene procedures
Collaborate effectively with the kitchen team and residents

Requirements:

Basic understanding of food hygiene
Comfort working in a kitchen environment (through experience or relevant qualification)
Reliability
Positive attitude
Attention to detail
Teamwork

Nice to have:

Previous catering experience
