Job Description:

Are you a creative problem-solver with a passion for design? Do you thrive in a dynamic engineering environment? Join our reputable client as a CAD Engineer, a role with training and in-house support to start your career in engineering design.

Job Responsibility:

  • Gain an understanding of points lists, components, electrical standards, and company standards
  • use design software to produce 2D/3D wiring diagrams
  • attend preliminary meetings to understand the project specifications and scope
  • manage RFIs, technical submittals and attend design meetings to understand project specifications and scope
  • fully understand the design requirements of each control system project, seeking information where required, and implement the control system design
  • gain knowledge of leading manufacturers equipment/systems
  • review and modify designs based on feedback from team members and clients
  • ensure that all designs comply with relevant standards and regulations
  • research material properties in databases to identify the best materials for modelling
  • assist in project planning and timelines for timely delivery
  • attend onsite visits ad hoc as required

Requirements:

  • Proficient in CAD software
  • a qualification/background and interest within Engineering
  • detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
  • a proactive communicator who thrives in a team environment
  • experienced in engineering design principles and practises
  • capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • proficient in the operation and use of Microsoft-based software such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint etc
