Job Responsibility

  • Prepare client accounts based on information supplied by client
  • Responsible for the preparation of VAT returns including communication with Clients to collate records
  • Attend Client meetings with relevant manager or partner
  • Ad hoc reports as required
  • Prepare time budget for tasks, assisted by seniors
  • Liaising with clients by telephone
  • Drafting letters and other correspondence as required
  • Monitor own job quality and quantity in line with agreed budgets and standards
  • Support the team with the production of their work
  • Record own chargeable time with the aim to improve recovery as experience gained
  • Attend training and achieve success in your given qualification
  • Attend courses that are appropriate to job role
  • Achieve examination success
  • Preparation of simple tax returns for sole traders, partnerships and corporation tax returns
  • Potentially required to attend client sites to carry out audit work, outsourced accounts or ad hoc project work
  • Assist with administration tasks as necessary to support the team

  • Willingness to learn and consider the bigger picture
  • Proven verbal and written communication skills
  • General business awareness, with a natural curiosity to learn more
  • ACA Entry Requirement: A Levels (3 at grade C or above) or Degree (2:1 or above)
  • Live within commuting distance of the office
  • Driving license and access to a vehicle
  • Flexibility to work outside normal hours occasionally
  • Right to work in the UK
