Job Description:

Are you a technical expert with a passion for precision? Randstad Victoria is looking for a skilled Trailer Technician to join our client. If you have a sharp eye for diagnostics and take pride in high-quality workmanship, we want to hear from you. In this role, you will be the go-to expert for trailer diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance, ensuring our customers hit the water safely and reliably.

Job Responsibility:

  • Diagnose and repair hydraulic and surge brake systems, including calipers, actuators, and master cylinders
  • Perform repairs on leaf springs, torsion axles, and bushings, while managing axle alignment and camber issues
  • Troubleshoot wiring faults and repair trailer electrical systems using multimeters and diagnostic tools
  • Service bearings, replace hubs, and perform structural repairs on frames, bunks, and rollers
  • Conduct rigorous safety inspections to ensure full compliance with provincial regulations

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of trailer repair experience
  • Strong hands-on expertise in hydraulic brakes, suspension systems, and electrical troubleshooting
  • Ability to independently diagnose performance and safety issues
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Forklift handling capability is preferred
  • Automotive or Heavy Equipment Technician background is considered an asset
  • Marine experience is a major plus
