Job Responsibility

Trailer Maintenance: working safely and performing preventative maintenance on all trailers in the fleet. This includes diagnosing problems found during inspections and proscribing the correct remedial action
Trailer Repairs: performing repairs diagnosed during the pre/post-trip or quick check inspection and preventative maintenance
Other: entering work orders, shop cleaning, attending team meetings, and other miscellaneous repairs on Bison equipment

Class 1 licence (preferred but not essential)
strong mechanical background with hands-on experience
Level 2 qualified, time-served, or IRTEC trained
confident using transport repair tools and diagnostic software
ability to follow procedures while problem-solving and making sound judgements when needed

Job Responsibility

Ensuring trailers are repaired and maintained in accordance with prescribed standards
preparing and presenting trailers for MOT inspections
diagnosing trailer-related defects using available diagnostic equipment and arrange for relevant action to be taken
liaising with trailer manufacturers regarding acquiring of parts and replacement vehicles, keeping key colleagues informed of progress where necessary
ensuring high levels of safety and cleanliness at all times and that required house-keeping duties meet required standards
updating and maintaining appropriate digital records and ensuring all relevant information is shared with relevant departments on a timely basis
