The Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining production and quality by ensuring the operation of machinery (consisting of mechanical and electrical equipment).
Job Responsibility:
Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive and corrective maintenance requirements. Equipment and tools include motors, gearboxes, pneumatic systems, coupling and motor alignment, roller chain/sprockets alignment, conveyor systems, and production machines
Capable of following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications. Troubleshoots malfunctions and complies with NEC standards on wiring and installations
Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation
listening for problems
and using precision measuring tools
Removes defective parts by dismantling devices, using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools. Strong welding skills are required
Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments
Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, and alignment equipment
Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques
monitoring compliance
Optimizes maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results
Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting actions, communicating irregularities, and scheduling correction of abnormalities
Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
Report machinery defects or malfunctions to the Maintenance Manager
Maintain regular and punctual attendance
Perform duties as assigned by management
Maintain regular and punctual attendance, attend required training as scheduled and work overtime and scheduled hours as assigned

Requirements:
Must hold a certificate, diploma, or at least two years of experience in a related field
Completion of an industrial maintenance apprenticeship program is a plus
Experience with Industrial Maintenance required
Understanding of CMMS Systems
Thorough working knowledge of industrial equipment, the usage, and safety procedures
Self-motivated, responsible, and Safety Orientation individual
Ability to apply standard tools and techniques to solve problems
Prior experience with the use of VOM, Oscilloscope, IR Temperature Probe, Multimeter, Megger, DC & AC Amperage Clamp Meter, and General Tools (Preferred)
Ability to manage time and responsibilities independently
Must be proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, Mechanical and electrical prints
Ability to read, write and speak in English fluently
Prior experience executing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical maintenance
Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate efficiently with external & internal customers
Must be able to troubleshoot the various systems and processes while working the floor. These include but are not limited to: AC Drives, DC Drives, Servo Drives, PLC, HMI, Close Loop Control Systems, AC/DC/ and Servo Motors
Ability to remain flexible in a dynamic, growing work environment
Must have a flexible schedule, willing to work rotation shifts

Corrective/breakdown experience (Preferred)
