Job Description

Barge Design Solutions is seeking a Traffic Engineer. This role will support traffic engineering projects, document development and design, and perform other related tasks. Works on multiple small projects with few complex features as a technical lead or portions of larger conventional projects.

Job Responsibility

  • Assist in project scope and budget development, as well as assisting in project design and traffic engineering
  • Supports PM providing technical leadership on conventional projects
  • Designs experiments, interprets, and develops conclusions on complex data
  • Writes and reviews engineer specifications, documents, drawings, etc. to produce various deliverables
  • Designs a component, or process on a complex project or designs to complete a project, systems, or components on conventional projects
  • Responsible for completing a subset of project documents
  • Participate in client meetings, as appropriate
  • Conducts on-site visits to monitor progress of projects
  • Performs other duties as requested

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from accredited program
  • Minimum of 6 or more years of engineering experience
  • Registered PE
  • Strong working knowledge of Auto Cad, Micro station, Synchro, Sidra, and other essential equipment for field and office work
  • Applicants that do not have a PE but do have at least 10 years of experience in traffic operations will likely be hired as a Traffic Specialist and not an Engineer
