Job Description

We’re looking for an experienced Traffic Operations Supervisor to take charge of traffic management service delivery across high-profile projects in Victoria. This senior role blends operational leadership, safety management, and client engagement. You’ll rotate across day, afternoon, and night shifts, ensuring fairness for crews and consistent leadership across all operations.

Job Responsibility

  • Operational Oversight: Manage traffic operations across multiple sites, ensuring timelines, safety, and compliance
  • Shift Leadership: Supervise rotating rosters and maintain continuity across day, afternoon, and night operations
  • Team Development: Mentor and guide field crews to perform with professionalism and safety-first focus
  • Client Engagement: Act as the key contact for clients, building relationships and resolving issues quickly
  • Safety & Compliance: Conduct audits, lead incident reporting, and uphold WorkSafe and Austroads standards
  • Fleet Management: Support the coordination and compliance of our modern traffic fleet
  • Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies and implement smarter ways of working
  • Innovation: Drive adoption of new technologies, including automated cone trucks and advanced systems

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in traffic management or related operations
  • Strong knowledge of TMPs, traffic control, and road safety compliance
  • Experience managing teams and vehicle fleets
  • Excellent communication, scheduling, and problem-solving skills
  • Current Traffic Controller certification and driver’s licence (HR highly regarded)
  • Proficiency in MS Office and adaptability to new tech
  • A safety-first, team-oriented mindset
