Traffic Engineering Manager

The Traffic Engineering Manager will be expected to assist with the development of strategy and policy related to the movement and control of the traffic network using Traffic Regulation Orders and Speed Limit Orders, ensuring coordination of off and on-street parking, reducing congestion, improving air quality and maximising network capacity. Provide effective management and leadership to a team of traffic engineering specialists overseeing the feasibility, design, procurement and construction of a range of projects in Shropshire in accordance with Council policies, budget provision, the constitution and financial regulations. In addition to provide management and leadership to a team of Road Safety Education specialists responsible for providing annual programmes of training across Shropshire.
