Precision, timing, and strategy are the pulse of a major market television station. We are looking for a highly organized Traffic Coordinator to manage the execution of our sales campaigns and ensure our broadcast logs are air-ready. As a Traffic Coordinator, you are the final checkpoint between our sales team and the viewer’s screen. You’ll be responsible for the seamless placement of commercial content, navigating complex inventory challenges, and ensuring every second of our broadcast day is accounted for.
Job Responsibility:
Edit and finalize daily broadcast logs, verifying program timings, break structures, and advertiser rotations
Alert the sales team to available inventory within specific programs and manage the placement of make-goods, pre-empts, and rejects
Ensure proper advertiser separation and competitive protection across all dayparts
Download and distribute logs to Master Control and collaborate with the Traffic Manager on major program changes
Interpret client traffic instructions to accurately assign and implement copy assignments
Requirements:
Previous experience with WideOrbit software is highly preferred
Detail-oriented with a perfectionist mindset
Problem-solving skills to resolve inventory or placement conflicts under pressure
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and a quick aptitude for corporate computer systems
One (1) year of TV Traffic experience is preferred
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university is preferred
Strong organizational and time-management skills with a commitment to excellent customer service
